Step 4 — Validate Cross-Domain and E-commerce Flows

  3. Begin checkout → begin_checkout fires with full cart
  4. Purchase → purchase fires once with correct transaction_id, value, currency
  5. Page refresh → purchase does NOT fire again

Step 5 — Automated Monitoring After Launch

Manual QA catches launch-day bugs. Automated monitoring catches regressions weeks later when a developer changes a button class name and breaks your click tracking.

Option 1: E2E tests with Cypress/Playwright. Write automated tests that simulate user flows and assert dataLayer pushes:
